Private Transport
The overarching principle is for our service users to safely access public transport services for travel training, skills and confidence-build, in the use of these services in a busy cosmopolitan area.

The service user’s safety and the safety of the public is paramount, and a robust risk assessment is undertaken to ensure safety. By the very nature of the services that we provide and the varied needs, challenges, and vulnerability of many of our service users, the use of public transport may not always be the right option. We also take into consideration our service user’s current healthcare circumstances, the availability and proximity of public transportation, and the public health concerns, as in the case of an outbreak of communicable infection in the public spaces.
These variables mean that having our own private means of transportation for our service users is an asset and this has proved extremely useful for some. It provides a door-to-door service, used for daytrips, community access, to take service users to appointments with their healthcare professionals, to attend school/college, with our own carer providing escort for comfort and care in-transit, in addition to our own driver and transport assistant.
Our transport is private. We do not share it with the public, used to meet the personal transportation needs of the people in our care, which is safe, reliable, punctual, and consistently with people who are familiar to our service users.
