Gardening for our service users is not only fun and therapeutic but having a plot to grow vegetables and other plants for human consumption, is even fulfilling.
Growing your own vegetables is encouraged by our enthusiastic staff. It is a form of exercise, proven to reduce depression, stress and anxiety and improved social functioning.
Interacting with the vegetable with the perseverance and patience to see your vegetable grow and finally having to harvest them provides a sense of achievement which many of our services and families love.
